2013年广东听说高考真题——A

Part A Reading Aloud

In the heart of London sits one of Britain’s most recognisable buildings. Yet its story is one of the least understood. But what is now the site of a splendid palace was once open countryside. As royal residences go, Buckingham Palace is something of a newcomer. The state rooms are less than 200 years old. Yet its history is much older and more dramatic than you might think. Its rooms are filled with objects that are clues to the character of kings and queens past. And the art and architecture combine to make a statement about Britain’s place in the world.

Part B Role Play

情景介绍

角 色:你是校电视台记者Mary。 任 务:(1)就新技术对教育的影响采访Dr. Brown;

(2)根据谈话内容回答同学的提问。

Tapescript:

W: Dr. Brown, welcome to our program. M: Thank you.

W: We know you are giving a new course this year. What is it about?

M: I’m just giving a three-month course on the classroom of the future and the use of new technologies in the classroom.

W: How will a classroom develop in the future?

M: The future classroom will heavily depend upon new technology. But it’s still related to a traditional education. My course introduces what education experts think about the future classroom. W: What’s their idea about the future classroom?

M: Uh… Actually, it’s quite a shocking idea for most people, myself included. Generally speaking, the idea is about three parts the role of the Internet, examination, and learning goals.

Tapescript:

The Postman

Tom was a postman. Every time he delivered a letter to Mrs. Brown, he had to finish his work quite late, because she lived far away. However, Tom did not mind this, for Mrs. Brown always kindly invited him in for a drink.

When Tom entered the gate of Mrs. Brown’s house yesterday, he didn’t see her working in the garden. He was surprised because she usually spent afternoons there when the weather was fine. Tom thought she might be in the kitchen. Then he went to the back of the house, but the door was locked. So, he returned to the front of the house and knocked hard on the door. There was no answer. Tom thought that this was very strange, because he knew Mrs. Brown seldom left the house. Just then, he noticed that her milk, delivered early in the morning, was still at the door.

If Mrs. Brown had not taken in her milk, perhaps she was ill. Tom walked around the house and found an open window. He went inside and found Mrs. Brown was lying on the floor of the living room. Tom realized that there was little he could do. He called for an ambulance.

Part A Reading Aloud

Isaac Newton has always been a hero of mine, and probably every physicist you’ll ever meet. He wasn’t an easy character. He arrived in Cambridge in 1661 after a difficult childhood. His father had died before he was born and his mother had abandoned him at the age of three. But the young Newton showed his genius at an early age. He wondered what light might be made of and wanted to know how vision worked and he was prepared to try anything to find out. One night in his darkened laboratory, he decided to experiment on his own eye.

M: Tell me, Mary, what sports do you play? W: I’m absolutely mad about tennis. M: I love watching tennis matches.

W: I also enjoy playing volleyball from time to time. But you may be surprised to hear that in my student days I used to play on a women’s football team. M: What? Football is a man’s game.

W: Well, women’s football is not at all uncommon in Britain. After all, why should football be limited to man?

M: But I think football is too rough a game for a woman to play. W: Perhaps. But, you know, sports are strong tradition.

三问部分:

体育运动在英国中学和大学里重要吗?

Question 1: Is sport important in British middle schools and universities? / Are sports important in British high schools and universities?

哪些体育运动在英国最流行?

Question 2: What are the most popular sports in Britain/ England? / What sports are the most popular ones in Britain/ England?

Answer 2: Well, there can be no doubt that football is at the top of the list. The game had its origin in

Britain and was played in the middle ages, or even earlier. Though as an organized game it dates only from the beginning of the 19th century. 47

体育运动是不是谈话中的常用话题?

Question 3: Is sports a common topic in conversation? / Is sports the thing most talked about? Answer 3: Oh, yes. In fact, I think it’s safe to say that apart from the weather, it’s the thing most talked about in Britain. So if we want to start a conversation with a stranger, we’d better start talking about the weather or recent football match. If you try that, you’ll find it usually works. 54 五答部分:

Question 2: What sport does Mary play sometimes? 同义转换 Answer 2: Volleyball.

Tapescript:

Birthday Dinner

The birthday of Tom’s mother was coming up.Tom planned to take her out for her birthday dinner. He knew that his mom loved French food more than anything else, so he called the only French restaurant in town to make a reservation. But there were no tables available. Tom decided to cook a French meal for his mom by himself. He knew that his mom got very happy whenever he made an effort. But Tom wasn’t a good cook. In fact, he was a terrible cook. Every time he tried to make dinner, even the neighbors smelt how bad it was. Then Tom got another idea — why not order some

French food? I can serve that food instead of my bad cooking.

The day finally arrived. While mom was still at work, Tom ordered the food, picked it up and brought it home. As he laid down the knives and forks, and lit the candles, mom walked in. “Happy birthday! Mom!” Tom showed off the beautiful dinner, smiling. Mom looked a little confused, then she responded happily, “You are so sweet, my dear. But my birthday is tomorrow. And I guess it’s always good to practice.”
